PROGRAMS AT A GLANCE

The Albuquerque Youth Symphony Program is seeking passionate, motivated young musicians! AYSP ensembles are open to string, woodwind, brass, and percussion students in grades 4-12 from the greater Albuquerque area. Annual auditions are required for most programs.

Prospective students are invited to observe a rehearsal to see if AYSP is a good fit for you. Just email dan@aysmusic.org with your name, instrument, and grade, and we’ll set up a time for you to visit. If you want to be part of an amazing year of music – you’ve come to the right place!

AYSP ensembles rehearse weekly from August through April at the AYSP facility with highly trained professional conductors and perform several times annually, including a Finale Concert each season at Popejoy Hall.

General Info:  Advanced full orchestra; typically comprised of 11th-12th grade students, but includes students grades 9-12

General Info:  Intermediate full orchestra; typically comprised of 10th-11th grade students, but includes students grades 9-12
