We are proud to present the AYS Reading Orchestra.
The idea is inspired by the Philadelphia Orchestra Society who has met every Friday night for over sixty years.
The concept is very simple:
- Register using the form below
- Download the music
- Meet from 4:00 - 6:30 pm at the new AYS building at 4407 Menaul Blvd. NE.
- Work through the piece
- Take a break
- Play through without stopping.
Everyone is welcome, regardless of age. No auditions required. You need not be in AYS or be an AYS alumni.
Please note: the repertoire for the AYS Reading Orchestra will be fun and challenging, but on an advanced high school level.
Register
Art and Janice Lucero, AYS Program Alumna and owner and CEO of MVD Express, have generously underwritten the rest of the season for the AYS Reading Orchestra! So there will not be a charge to play anymore (although donations are very willingly accepted and will be applied to the Annual Fund to support the activities of the AYS Program, Inc.)
