AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
ALL woodwind and brass students prepare the following:
1. Concert Major Scales of F, Bb, Eb
2. Solo of your choice this may be music you have played in your school band or a solo written for your instrument. Pick what best displays your ability.
Percussion students prepare the following:
1. All select snare drum music from a part you are playing in school band and/or a solo written for your instrument and snare drum rudiments of your choice.
2. You may also demonstrate your ability on the tympani and mallets
Audition results will be mailed on Monday, December 11, 2006 and the first rehearsal will be held at Eldorado High School on Saturday, January 20 at 9:00 a.m.
The Albuquerque Junior Youth Band, for middle school students, is led by John Sanks and Steve Snowden.
AJYB rehearses from 9:00 to 11:00 on Saturday mornings at Eldorado High School.
