Updated Info for ASTA Concert

Tuesday, February 26 - 5:45 to 7:00 p.m. (AYO & AYS Strings ONLY)
Dress rehearsal at Kiva Auditorium, Albuquerque Convention Center.

Wednesday, February 27 - the BIG NIGHT!
ALL STUDENTS: take the escalator in the Convention Center to the top floor. DO NOT enter the Kiva Auditorium at this time! Look for signs which will direct you to one of three large ballrooms opposite the Kiva Auditorium.

Ballroom A - AJO & AJS Strings - report by 6:00 p.m.
Ballroom B - AYO & AYS Strings - report by 7:15 p.m.
Ballroom C - AYO & AYS winds and percussion - report by 7:15 p.m.

Leave all cases, coats, etc. in the ballroom. After you perform, you'll return here.

AJO & AJS Strings
After leaving cases in Ballroom A, report to the stage in the Kiva Auditorium at 6:30 p.m. for a final rehearsal and performance. BE SURE TO BE ON TIME! Following concert, return to Ballrooms for personal belongings. Parents: the AJO & AJS portion of the concert will be over at approximately 8:20 p.m. Students may be met in Ballroom A. The students are welcomed and encouraged to meet their parents in the Kiva and listen to the AYO & AYS portion of the program.

AYO & AYS
Report to Ballrooms B & C by 7:15 p.m. for warm up and tuning with Ms. Siverson and Mr. Gordon. Introduction for entering Kiva and stage will be given. Following concert, return to Ballrooms for personal belongings.

ALL STUDENTS AND PARENTS:
The AYS Program encourages you to attend and invite many friends to our concert. We believe the performance will be spectacular and not to be missed!

PARKING:
Downtown parking is available at no cost for our students and their families at Wells Fargo, at Lomas and 2nd Street. The convention Center is two short blocks south of Wells Fargo. Parking is also available at the Convention Center Garage (Martin Luther King Blvd & Broadway), with overflow parking available at the Civic Plaza garage (Marquette & 3rd St.). Event parking in these garages is $6.00 per vehicle, without in/out privileges. Additionally, there are numerous other public parking garages and parking lots available throughout downtown close to the Center. Parking fees vary. Please refer to the posted parking fees at each site. Parking at meters downtown is free in the evening.

We urge you to arrive early, as we have approximately 250 students performing. If you have any questions about the schedule or parking, please ask your conductor or call the AYS Office at 875-1319.
