The AYS 2012 tour is underway! Here is the travelogue so far:
Flight one left Albuquerque without too much trouble and arrived in Dallas for lunch as planned.
Flight two, after a fairly speedy check in, was delayed in Albuquerque for THREE HOURS! We figured we'd be waiting one way or another, so we were fairly unconcerned. We arrived in Dallas with about 5 minutes to spare: disembarked, walked over a couple of gates and right onto our waiting British Airline Flight to London. The flight was fine - dinner was pretty darned good (considering our usual airplane food is a few peanuts). We had in flight movies, lots of laughter and general good moods. No one slept very much, except me, Mrs. Purrington, who can generally sleep anywhere.
Arrival in London this morning: bleary eyed, but the students perked right up when the opportunity to shop at Harrods at the airport presented itself. There is a jolly good feeling here about the Queen's Jubilee.
More anon, but please know that all of the students are well and seem to be having a great time so far.
