An auction fundraiser to benefit the Albuquerque Youth Symphony Program
Eight Albuquerque artists have donated their time and talents, using an unfinished violin as a canvas. All violins are being exhibited at Robertson & Sons Violin Shop at 3201 Carlisle NE.

Plan to make your holidays bright by ordering your luminarias now!
Every year AYS students spend hours folding bags in preparation for Luminaria Day when they deliver them to homes throughout the greater Albuquerque area. A longtime AYS tradition, the money from the fundraising helps with the annual tour and other operating costs.

The Albuquerque Youth Symphony Program Board of Directors urges you to support the Quality of Life Initiative. Vote YES on November 7.
The Quality of Life Initiative is a community investment in culture, history, art and science that will pay off almost immediately - and well into the future. It asks the November 2006 General Election voters to approve a 3/16 of 1% increase in the Gross Receipts Tax to create a stream of income for hundreds of local nonprofit organizations to enhance and expand their programs and make them more accessible to more people

Don't miss "The Music In Me"--HBO's powerful, new documentary
Tune into "The Music in Me", a powerful, new 25-minute documentary featuring kids who are passionate performers of music of all kinds, speaking in their own words about the importance of music in their lives and the joy it brings. Hailing from all over the US, these virtuosic, young performers are between seven and eleven years old and perform a wide variety of music, including jazz, zydeco, classical and Latin.
"The Music in Me" is the first in a new three-part series which will debut on HBO this Saturday, October 7 at 7 pm EDT, and will be followed by two other shows which will air on HBO Family during 2007.
